Shopify Flow
Gibbond has no built-in email engine — and it doesn't need one. It publishes nine Flow triggers and two actions, so you build any automation you want with Shopify Flow + Shopify Email.
Triggers (events Gibbond emits)
| Trigger | Fires when |
|---|---|
| Points earned | Points are earned from an order, milestone or account creation. |
| Points redeemed | A customer redeems points for a discount. |
| Points clawback | Points are reversed due to a refund. |
| Points expiring soon | A customer has points approaching expiry (per your warning days). |
| Boost activated | A points boost goes live. |
| Tier upgraded | A customer moves up a tier. |
| Tier downgraded | A customer drops a tier (from the nightly job). |
Actions (things Flow can tell Gibbond to do)
| Action | Effect |
|---|---|
| Adjust points | Add or remove points for a customer (with a reason). |
| Set tier | Manually assign a customer to a tier. |
Example automations
“You earned {{points}} points!”
Tag “vip” + send a welcome email
“Use your points before they expire”
Award 50 bonus points
Building a workflow
- Open the Shopify Flow app
Install it from the App Store if you haven't already — it's free.
- Create workflow → choose a trigger
Gibbond's triggers appear under the app's name.
- Add conditions & actions
Branch on order value, customer tags or tier, then send email, tag customers, or call a Gibbond action.
- Turn it on
Save and enable. That's your loyalty notifications, with zero custom code.
Because notifications run through Shopify Email, your loyalty emails inherit your store's branding and sending reputation — nothing extra to configure or pay for.
